My Story
I am dancing in this years Strictly St Rocco's event taking place on Sunday 13th December. I will be learning to dance ballroom style at Cadmans Dance School and performing in front of 400 people at Haydock Park Racecourse.
For those who know me, you'll know that dancing on a stage is what I love the most but why am I doing it? The answer is simple and very close to my heart: I'm doing it for my incredible mother-in-law, Sheila, who we sadly lost this past July.
In her final days, Sheila was cared for by the amazing team at St Rocco's Hospice. I can't put into words the comfort and dignity they gave her, and the support they gave our entire family during the most difficult of times. They are angels on earth, providing exceptional care free of charge to people in our community when they need it most.
Now, it's my turn to give back. By getting those dancing shoes out and taking on this huge challenge, I hope to raise vital funds so that other families can receive the same compassionate care that Sheila did.
