My Story

I am dancing in this years Strictly St Rocco's event taking place on Sunday 1st December. I will be learning to dance at Cadmans Dance School and performing in front of 400 people at Haydock Park Racecourse. Please support me with this challenge by donating what you can. Your donations will help motivate me to get onto the dance floor, and all the money raised will help the hospice continue its amazing care for the Warrington community.

so my story here goes...

I lost my beautiful Mum Helen in 2004 to cancer, she spent the last 4 weeks of her life in St Rocco's hospice. The care she received there was unforgettable for me and my family, from the welcoming smiles greeting you at reception to the endless cups of tea made by the Volunteers there. The carers would take time out of there busy day to take my children to see Billie the budgie that was there at the time when they could see I was struggling watching my mum in pain.
it was bonfire night whilst she was there and they allowed us to do a small display outside my mums window as we couldn't take my children to a display as we wanted to be there as much as possible and they remember this day as a happy memory with her, it's the small things like this that makes St Roccos so special to us and all the community of Warrington.
on the night of my mums passing the nurse's took care of all of us around her bed and was so gentle and caring with her and I will be forever grateful.

Nothing was to much to ask for and this made the precious last weeks we had with her that much easier because of this beautiful place.
St Roccos will always have a place in my heart and being chosen to take part in Strictly will be an honour.

please dig deep and sponsor me I will do my very best to make my mum proud
